海下灣 Hoi Ha Wan

Beyond expectations! We were only supposed to find hermit crab, fiddler crab and lots of whelks. At the end, there were countless star fish on the sand, just the way real stars lined the dark sky.

一五,一六 ... 原來海星並不是一定五隻腳的。還有四隻,六隻和十隻,真是給星形圖案騙了(其實天上的星也不是五角形的)。

海下灣有一片很闊的淺灘。每日水退的時候,一大片泥灘就會露了出來。小孩們都禁不住撲到水裡去,理它有沒有乾衣物替換。這裡泥灘的動物可豐富了,各種貝殼類,海膽和海星,好彩的話,您還會發現海免呢!還有很多小魚在您身邊游來游去。
除了泥灘,在岸邊的村落可以看到先民的遺跡,如把珊瑚燒成石灰的。亦可從碼頭乘船欣賞珊瑚。

海下灣是香港其中一個海岸公園,還正在興建一個先進的研究中心,帶走這裡的動植物是被禁止的。

大埔滘 ... 藍路 Tai Po Kau, Blue Walk

大埔滘自然護理區是一處很適合家庭郊遊的地點。紅藍啡黃四色不同長短的路徑可供選擇。

在春來這裡,可見到生機處處。各式小動物,昆蟲,植物和蕈類,隨處可見。如果你是觀鳥能手,此片次生林有豐富的鳥類資源。在野外研習園更可見到很多賞蝶的發燒友呢!

The Tai Po Kau Nature Reserve is a popular spot for family passtime. The Reserve is a favourable habitat for birds and insects, especially butterflies, attracting regular visits from those interested in bird-watching and general exploration. You will be surprised to find that there are quite a few books published by the government and individuals on the ecology in this area.
